The future of Bayern Munich’s David Alaba remains undecided at this point, according to Sky in Germany.
The 28-year-old versatile defender will be out of contract with the Bundesliga champions at the end of the season, and it is obviously a situation that interests a number of top clubs across Europe. The likes of Real Madrid, Barcelona, Paris Saint-Germain, Liverpool, Manchester United and Manchester City have all been credited with interest in his services, while some Spanish outlets have gone further than that by suggesting Alaba had already agreed a four-and-a-half year contract with Real.
However, this latest report, coming from Germany, disputes the allegation and states that the Austria international’s destination is still unknown. The decision is apparently unlikely to be made before April, or even May.
If so, it wouldn’t be the first time for the media in Spain to put out a story like that, possibly to discourage their club’s potential competition from putting serious effort into signing the player.
