Alaba in line for new Bayern deal

German media outlet Bild is reporting that Austrian defender David Alaba could soon be rewarded with a new and improved deal.

Bayern Munich chiefs are well aware that this is one of the best squads the club have had in its history and they have already done well to tie down a number of star players to long-term contracts.

Thomas Muller and Jerome Boateng will soon have their deals with the club extended, which leaves David Alaba as the next player on the agenda.

Even though the Austrian has more than two and a half years left to run on his current contract, the Bavarians are concerned by the heavy interest in his services and are set to start talks on the contract extension.

Having been at the club since he was 16, Alaba is unlikely to express his desire to leave any time soon and it is only a matter of time before his current deal is extended.
