As reported by the club, Getafe have officially confirmed the signing of Mexican defender Oswaldo Alanís. Getafe president Angel Torres initially announced back in May that this move would be happening following the conclusion of the World Cup, but the confirmation has come through a few weeks sooner than had been anticipated.
Alanís, who has made over 20 appearances for the Mexico national team, has made the switch to Getafe after spending three years with Guadalajara. Oswaldo has always been viewed as a somewhat big name in native Mexico, but now, he’ll have the chance to prove himself on a much larger stage.
Getafe have been one of the busiest Spanish sides in the summer transfer window thus far, with this signing coming off the back of another transfer announcement less than 24 hours ago. The club are aiming to improve on their 8th place finish last season, with European qualification being their next big goal.
