Albert Sambi Lokonga to complete Arsenal transfer today?

Arsenal are planning to announce the signing of Albert Sambi Lokonga from Anderlecht today, according to DH Net. It has been reported that Lokonga is in London already ahead of his transfer from Belgian club Anderlecht to Premier League outfit Arsenal. The 21-year-old midfielder has also completed his medical.

Lokonga has been at Anderlecht since 2014 and has come through the ranks at the Belgian club to establish himself in the first team. The Anderlecht no. 48 made 33 appearances in the Jupiler Pro League last season, scoring three goals and giving two assists in the process. The youngster also played four times in the Belgian Cup in 2020-21.

Arsenal have already made one signing so far in the summer transfer window. The North London outfit have brought Portuguese left-back Nuno Tavares from Benfica. The Gunners will be aiming to finish in the Premier League top four next season after missing out on the Champions League in 2020-21.
