Italian giants AC Milan are weighing up offer for Sporting CP midfielder Alberto Aquilani, La Gazzetta dello Sport has suggested.
The Rossoneri were unable to properly reinforce the squad over the summer as new Chinese owners have failed to allocate the required funds, and they, therefore, hope to make a couple of bargain signings in the closing stage of the summer transfer window.
La Gazzetta dello Sport claims that AC Milan will offer a deal to Alberto Aquilani, as the midfielder is set to rescind his contract with Sporting CP.
The 32-year-old only started five league fixtures for the Lions last season and he is clearly not in the first team plans of coach Jorge Jesus.
The AS Roma graduate had made 23 Serie A appearances for AC Milan during the loan stint in the 2011/2012 season, and he appears to be interested in returning to Italy’s top flight.
