Alderweireld focused on Tottenham

“There’s a lot to play for this season. And in the end I have a year contract left at Spurs, so I don’t look further than this season.”

Those are the words of Tottenham Hotspur defender Toby Alderweireld, who has confirmed that he is remaining focused on the rest of the season as opposed to thinking about his future. The Belgian has made it clear in the past that he is open to the idea of leaving Spurs, with many rumours linking him with a move to Old Trafford with Manchester United. His current deal is set to run out in 2020, but there’s a chance he could leave for £25 million if a bid comes in for him.

Spurs quite clearly want to keep hold of him for as long as they possibly can, but for the fans, at least it seems like Toby isn’t already thinking about his next destination.
