Alderweireld is a wanted man

According to a recent report over in England, a series of top clubs around English football are interested in signing Toby Alderweireld. It’s no secret that the 30 year old’s future with Tottenham Hotspur has been up for discussion in the last few months, with the Belgian supposedly looking for a way out. He recently signed a contract extension until 2020, but as we all know, contract extensions don’t mean much if the club that wants you has enough money in their pocket.

However, according to the contract, Spurs are required to accept a bid of £25 million or above for him if it comes in during the summer transfer window – but it has to be within two weeks of its closing.

Arsenal are one of the teams that are said to be in the running for Alderweireld’s signature, although that doesn’t seem like a realistic possibility. Manchester United, on the other hand, are a very viable option.
