Alderweireld open to Ajax return

During a recent interview, Toby Alderweireld revealed that he’s open to the possibility of a return to Ajax. The 29 year old joined Tottenham Hotspur back in 2015 from Atletico Madrid, but before that, he spent nine years in Amsterdam with the Dutch giants. That was where he grew as a player before becoming the worldwide sensation that he is today, and it seems as if he’s more than open to the idea of a comeback.

Toby stated that he wants to be able to leave something out there as opposed to just coming back as a washed up veteran, which is certainly a respectable approach to have. He has been heavily linked with a move away from Spurs over the course of the last few months but hasn’t actually gone through with it, and it does seem as if it’d be a few years before the Belgian international would consider another transfer.
