Catalan daily newspaper Mundo Deportivo has learned that Barcelona defender Aleix Vidal could be returning to Sevilla in the near future.
The experienced footballer is not in the first team plans of head coach Luis Enrique and he has made just one league appearance this season.
It’s been three weeks since he was last included in a matchday squad, so everything suggests the 27-year-old will be leaving Camp Nou in January.
Barcelona sporting director Roberto Fernandez has spoken to the player, trying to persuade him to work hard as he could get his chance, but a winter exit is clearly on the cards.
According to reports, it is only a matter of time before former club Sevilla make a move on Vidal, as los Rojiblancos would jump at the opportunity to bring the full-back back to Estadio Ramon Sanchez Pizjuan.
Aleix Vidal has only made 10 La Liga outings since joining Barcelona, and his days at Camp Nou already seem numbered.
