Newcastle United striker Aleksandar Mitrovic has made it clear that he plans to leave St James’ Park in the January window.
The 23-year-old made mere six substitute appearances in the new Premier League campaign, spending less than 90 minutes on the pitch in total.
Mitrovic now admits that his patience is running out and it appears that he will leave England altogether.
“My patience is running out. I have waited for my chance over the last few months and did not get it,” the Serbian striker told Sportski Zurnal.
“I have learned to love Newcastle, but…The time has come to look after myself, to find the best solution for my career.
”There are no concrete offers. I have no particlular preference, not even to remain in the Premier League. Chances are I will be leaving England.”
Aleksandar Mitrovic only managed 14 goals in 65 league outings for the Magpies after joining in an £18 million deal from Anderlecht.
