Tottenham Hotspur are being linked with a summer move for AC Milan striker Alessandro Matri, reports Il Corriere dello Sport.
The same source claims that Massimiliano Allegri is set to take over the reigns at White Hart Lane and he reportedly plans to lure several Serie A players to North London.
AC Milan forward Alessandro Matri is one of the first names on his hit list that also includes Cagliari’s Davide Astori.
The experienced forward is currently on loan at Fiorentina, but he is unlikely to remain at Artemio Franchi beyond the current season considering that Mario Gomez and Giuseppe Rossi are nearing full fitness.
Matri has enjoyed the best years of his career at Cagliari under Massimiliano Allegri and he could be reunited with the talented coach for the third time with the pair having also worked together at San Siro.
The 29-year-old has been showing some potential this season, albeit scoring just 5 goals in 28 league appearances.
