Manchester United full-back Alexander Buttner is being linked with a summer move to Besiktas, according to De Telegraaf.
The Turkish giants are keen to lure the talented defender to Istanbul, but it remains to be seen if they can reach an agreement with the player’s current employers.
While admitting to suffering from home sickness during his debut Premier League season, the 24-year-old seems to have become disillusioned with life at Old Trafford following the departure of club legend Sir Alex Ferguson.
Buttner could, therefore, leave the club in search of regular football, as he wants to break into the Netherlands national team ahead of the 2014 World Cup in Brazil.
The left-back has only made 5 Premier League appearances last season, while featuring in another eight games in other competitions.
Buttner has managed to prove his undoubted potential at Old Trafford, but it appears he is still far away from nailing down a regular starting berth.
