Portuguese daily newspaper A Bola understands that Napoli are on the verge of signing Spanish full-back Alex Grimaldo from Benfica.
The former Barcelona youngster has been on their radar for quite some time, and the Azzurri have now made their move.
Napoli sporting director Cristiano Giuntoli was spotted in Lisbon as he attempts to reach an agreement with the Primeira Liga giants.
According to reports, the Azzurri are readying a €30 million bid for the player’s services, whereas Benfica are holding out for €32 million.
Alex Grimaldo is expected to join Napoli in the summer as starting left-back Faouzi Ghoulam continues to struggle through injury.
