Alex Sandro set for new Juventus deal

According to Corriere dello Sport, Alex Sandro is on the verge of signing a new contract with Italian champions Juventus. This news comes hot on the heels of the revelation that a Premier League club put in a substantial offer for Sandro, with many rumours suggesting that it was Manchester United who did so. Regardless of whether it was or not, however, this new deal is set to keep the defender at The Old Lady until at least 2023.

While another offer could always lure him away at some point between now and then, him signing this new deal would serve as a huge statement for Juve. Not only are they able to bring in some world class stars, but they’re also able to keep hold of their existing ones.

Led by Ronaldo they are cruising at the top of the Serie A table, and they’re also one of the favourites to lift the Champions League trophy this season.
