Chelsea defender Alex is on the verge of completing a transfer to Paris Saint-Germain, according to Le Parisien.
The Brazilian has been training with the reserve team ever since he expressed his desire to leave the club and he is set for a January exit from Stamford Bridge.
Queens Park Rangers were close to signing the player after they agreed a transfer fee with Chelsea, but the player eventually turned down the opportunity to join the Loftus Road outfit.
According to Le Parisien, Alex is instead set to join Paris Saint-Germain and he is expected to sign a contract with the Saints later this week.
The 29-year-old has one and a half years left on his deal at Stamford Bridge and he will cost around €5 million.
Alex arrived to Chelsea in big money move from Santos in 2004, but he spent three years on loan at PSV Eindhoven before getting a real chance at Stamford Bridge.
After four somewhat successful seasons, the player lost his starting place this term, and made just three Premier League appearances.
