Paris Saint-Germain defender Alex is hoping to leave the club in the summer transfer window, according to L’Equipe.
The Brazilian has formed a good defensive partnership with compatriot Thiago Silva since arriving at the club from Chelsea, but it appears he is not too keen on remaining at Parc des Princes.
L’Equipe has learned that Alex feels homesick and is looking to return to Brazil at the end of the current campaign.
That could prove to be a difficult task as he still has two years left on his deal with the Saints, while everybody at the club regards him as an important member of the side.
Alex has made a total of 39 Ligue 1 appearances since arriving at Parc des Princes in January 2012, scoring 4 goals in the process.
The 30-year-old began his career at Santos and also represented PSV Eindhoven and Chelsea before signing for Paris Saint-Germain.
