Corinthians forward Alexandre Pato has revealed that he received a number of offers during the summer transfer window.
Despite only joining the Brazilian giants in January 2013, the 24-year-old had a chance for a straight return to one of Europe’s top leagues.
Pato reveals he was seriously considering the offers for his services, but ultimately decided to stay with Corinthians.
“I received several offers,” the striker explained to Brazilian TV station Sportv. “They called Corinthians and sent faxes to convince me.
”I spoke with my agent and (club) leaders, but I decided to refuse. I want to help the club qualify for Copa Libertadores.”
Alexandre Pato surprised everyone when he decided to leave Milan and return to Brazil, but it seems as though he is quite happy with how everything panned out.
The forward has enjoyed a bright start to the new chapter in his career, scoring 12 goals in 33 league appearances for the club.
Pato had started his career with Internacional and he went on to join Milan in the summer of 2007, making a total of 117 Serie A appearances for the Rossoneri and scoring 51 goals in the process.
