Brazilian forward Alexandre Pato revealed in an interview with Corriere dello Sport that he would be open to returning to AC Milan.
Currently playing at Tianjin Quanjian in the Chinese Super League, Pato remains best remembered for his AC Milan stint during which he made over 100 competitive appearances and scored more than 50 goals with Rossoneri.
Alexandre Pato still has a year in his contract with the Chinese club but he has already received a number of offers from around Europe.
“I’ve received some offers from Serie A teams and also from other European leagues. We’ll see at the end of the year,” Pato said, refusing to rule out a return to AC Milan.
I’m very happy that Leonardo [Araújo] and [Paolo] Maldini have returned to Milan, for them and also for the fans who needed people to be the face of Milan. I’ve spoken to Leo a few times and, of course, there were some jokes about my possible return to Milan,” he added.
Pato scored 15 league goals for Tianjin Quanjian in 24 appearances last season whereas he on a path to better the tally this season knowing he already has 11 goals to his name after 18 Super league matches.
