Chilean newspaper El Mercurio is reporting that Bayern Munich have emerged as favourites to sign Arsenal forward Alexis Sanchez.
The highly rated footballer is widely expected to quit his current employers in the summer and we are likely to witness a real bidding war for his services.
However, El Mercurio claims that Bayern have the upper hand at the moment as Sanchez’s agent Fernando Felicevich is in Munich to discuss a deal for his client.
According to reports, the Bavarians will offer the Chilean a long-term deal worth €13 million per campaign, with the player believed to be seriously considering a move to Allianz Arena.
What is more, Bayern would pay no fewer than €58 million for Sanchez’s services, which is probably more than Arsenal have hoped for considering that their star player has a deal until June 2018.
Sanchez has more than justified the €42.5 million invested in him, having managed 71 goals and 42 assists in 143 competitive appearances for the Gunners.
