Alfonso Pedraza linked with England return

Villarreal winger Alfonso Pedraza is being linked with a January move to English Premier League, according to International Business Times.

Following promising loan spells with Lugo and Leeds United, the 21-year-old was loaned to Deportivo Alaves in the summer, but not before signing a new deal until June 2021 at El Madrigal.

The left winger has mostly been used as left-back since and his excellent performances did not go unnoticed.

Reports from England suggest that both Newcastle United and Southampton are showing interest in Pedraza, looking to make their moves ahead of the winter transfer window.

Pedraza, who made nine league appearances for Deportivo Alaves this term, has a €20 million release clause in his new contract.
