Alfredo Morelos 6/4 to score anytime against Porto in Thursday’s Europa League showdown

Competition: Europa League

Market: Alfredo Morelos to score anytime

Odds: 6/4 @ Bet 365

Two sides who are desperate to secure a spot in the knockout stage of this year’s Europa League, Rangers will welcome Porto to Ibrox on Thursday night.

Starting with the hosts, with a League Cup final against Celtic to look forward to next month, the mood in Steven Gerrard’s camp continues to soar. Picking up an empathic 3-0 win over Hearts over the weekend, the former England midfielder sees his side enjoying a three-match winning run and currently occupying that lucrative second spot in Group G. One man who has continued to shine this season is the red-hot Alfredo Morelos. Bagging yet another brace against Hearts, the 23-year-old has now bagged four goals in his last two appearances and will lead Rangers’ charge in midweek.

As for the visitors, now sat behind Rangers in Group G after the Blues picked up a 1-1 draw at the Estádio Do Dragão a fortnight ago, Thursday’s trip to Glasgow is being described as a must-win encounter. While the Portuguese giants might be enjoying a five-match unbeaten run across all competitions, they have a growing reputation for their sluggish displays while away on European duties. Sérgio Conceição’s men have won just one of their last six Europa League appearances and they have also lost their last three matches on foreign soil, it should also be noted they have remarkably conceded two or more goals in each of their last eight Europa League matches on the road.
