The Daily Star understand that Everton are lining up a move for Crystal Palace defender James Tomkins.
The Toffees have vastly improved since Sam Allardyce was named as their new manager last month and he is eyeing a deal for one of his former employees as he looks to continue the resurgence.
Allardyce and Tomkins know each other well having worked together at both West Ham United and Palace and it would cost the Merseyside club around £20m for the pair to once again be reunited.
The twenty-eight year old has played in just half of the Eagles league games so far this season while he has played for them thirty-eight times in total, scoring three times having racked up almost two hundred and fifty appearances for the Hammers.
Internationally he has represented England at every level from U16 to U21 but is yet to receive a senior call-up.
