According to a recent report from Sky Sports, Sam Allardyce has verbally agreed to become the new West Bromwich Albion manager.
This comes in the immediate aftermath of the news that Slaven Bilic has been sacked as the club’s manager despite earning a point against Manchester City last night. Allardyce, who has admitted in the past to being a Wolves supporter, sees this job as the ideal chance for him to make his way back into football management after two and a half years away from the sport.
He is said to be confident in his ability to keep the Baggies in the Premier League, despite the fact that they have been dwindling in the bottom three for the majority of the season.
Bilic will definitely feel hard done by based on some of the performances they’ve put in over the course of the last few weeks, but one thing is for sure – Allardyce knows how to help a club survive.
