West Ham United have made a bid for Leeds United captain Ross McCormack, Sky Sports understands.
With their current selection of forwards managing just seven Premier League goals between them so far this season, the club have been on the lookout for reinforcements, and have now turned their attention to the Championship’s top scorer.
The 27 year old has scored seventeen times in the second tier this campaign, one short of his best tally for the club, and with twenty games left to play.
He moved to Elland Road from Cardiff City in the summer of 2010, having also played for Rangers and Motherwell north of the border, and had half a season on loan with Doncaster Rovers.
The Scotland international, who has been capped ten times by his country, was only recently handed the captain’s armband by Brian McDermott, and the Leeds manager will be keen to keep hold of his star man.
