Allardyce to take over at West Ham

Former Blackburn manager Sam Allardyce has revealed that he will take over the reigns at West Ham.

The Hammers sacked Avram Grant following the relegation to the Championship, but they wasted no time in finding the new boss.

The former Blackburn manager held talks with West Ham owners Gold and Sullivan last week and agreed a £1.5 million per year deal.

The 56-year-old manager will pocket another £1 million if he gains promotion with the Hammers.

”Everything has been agreed in principle and I look forward to taking charge after I have had a family holiday.

“It’s always difficult dealing with the aftermath of relegation but I want to get West Ham back into the Premier League as quickly as possible.”
