(GSM) – After Milan’s simple win over Lecce, Massimilliano Allegri had some sweet words for new signing Zlatan Ibrahimovic.
The Swedish striker, who arrives from Barcelona, was in the stands and saluted San Siro at half-time in the centre-circle during the 4-0 victory over Lecce.
“Ibrahimovic brought enthusiasm to the environment. Tonight the team was fired up, ready to put in a good performance and celebrate the win,” said Allegri.
“It was important to start well, because a newly-promoted side could’ve caused us some problems.
“I think we had a good game. We are still not 100 per cent, which is normal at this stage of the season, but the team played well and passed the ball around nicely.
“After the break we made a few too many mistakes, but that was understandable because before we had worked very hard.”
