Massimiliano Allegri has dismissed rumours that AC Milan are ready to cash in on Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Thiago Silva during the transfer window.
Brazil international Silva is being heavily linked with Manchester City and Barcelona, while prolific Swedish striker Ibrahimovic has also been linked with a move away from the San Siro.
Nevertheless, Milan coach Allegri has made it clear that Milan have no intention to let go of their star players.
“The club and the president are keen to maintain Milan at a high level. Ibrahimovic and Thiago will remain here,” Allegri told Milan Channel.
“Thiago is young and Ibrahimovic can also give a lot. They are two champions on which Milan can build their basis for the future.
“The club is only working on replacing those players who have left.”
Milan have already secured the services of Riccardo Montolivo and Bakaye Traore for next season, but have seen the likes of Alessandro Nesta, Clarence Seedorf, Mark van Bommel depart.
