AC Milan boss Massimiliano Allegri has urged his side to play with the same determination they showed against Arsenal.
Milan play Cesena in the Serie A on Sunday knowing that a win can send them four points clear at the top of the league.
And Allegri wants his men to replicate their effort against Arsenal, in which the Italian giants stormed to a 4-0 victory in the first leg of a round-of-16 Champions League tie.
“We need to approach Cesena with the same spirit and motivation that we had against Arsenal,” Allegri told reporters on Saturday.
“We must not get this wrong as we’re facing an organised side with a strong strike force that always creates something good on home turf.”
Allegri also revealed that Milan will travel to the second-bottom side missing several of their key players.
“Alessandro Nesta’s knee is acting up, but he will be available against Juventus,” he said.
“Alexandre Pato has a muscular problem and there’s no point risking him, the same goes with Kevin-Prince Boateng. Philippe Mexes will be ready in three or four days time (too).”
Sulley Muntari is likely to make his Milan debut in the fixture while Massimo Ambrosini is expected to deputise for Mark van Bommel.
