Joe Allen is set for a medical at Stoke City ahead of his proposed £13m switch from Liverpool, according to the Mirror.
The Wales international has been strongly linked with an Anfield exit despite starring for his country at this summer’s European Championships in France.
His former club Swansea City were in the hunt to secure his services though the Potters have appeared to win the race for his signature.
Allen signed for Liverpool in the summer of 2012 following ex-manager Brendan Rodgers to Merseyside, and has since racked up one hundred and twenty-nine appearances in all competitions, scoring seven goals.
He spent thirteen years with Swansea, playing for them one hundred and fifty times while he also had a brief loan spell with fellow Welsh outfit Wrexham in 2008.
He has thirty-one caps for his country and was also part of the Great Britain squad that played at the 2012 Summer Olympic Games.
