Arsenal goalkeeper Manuel Almunia has hinted that he would like to see his current loan deal at West Ham extended.
Almunia, 34, signed for the Hammers on a one-month emergency loan as cover for injured England international Robert Green.
But the Spanish keeper is hoping that his short stay at Upton Park could be extended, with the shot-stopper having lost is starting spot to young Pole Wojciech Szczesny.
Almunia told The Sun: “It’s good to feel the game again.”
“We will see if I extend my loan. At the moment I am happy — it is a great club with nice people and that’s enough for me.”
Almunia joined the Gunners in 2004 as a back-up to Jens Lehmann and has made 110 appearances for Arsene Wenger’s side.
