Central midfielders Alou Diarra and Abou Diaby are both doubtful for France’s Euro 2012 qualifier against Romania on Saturday due to injury.
Bordeaux anchorman Diarra pulled out of group training here on Wednesday after injuring his right leg in the morning session, while Arsenal midfielder Diaby has not trained since Monday due to an ankle problem.
Diarra completed a lap of the training pitch on Wednesday afternoon before returning to the changing rooms.
Diaby, meanwhile, who injured his right ankle in Arsenal’s defeat at Chelsea on Sunday, is looking increasingly unlikely to make it onto the pitch for the game with Romania in Paris.
Diarra and Diaby both started France’s last qualifying match, an impressive 2-0 win against Bosnia-Hercegovina in Sarajevo last month.
Laurent Blanc’s team face Romania at the Stade de France on Saturday before taking on Luxembourg in Metz on October 12 in what will be their fourth Group D qualifying match.
