The Azzurri will need cover on the left flank when Faouzi Ghoulam goes to the Africa Cup of Nations and Rafael Benitez hopes to get reunited with the Spanish defender.
The pair worked together at Anfield and could now be rejoined at Stadio San Paolo, with Napoli keen on his services.
