Fans have had mixed feelings after Alvaro Morata’s first-ever appearance in a Chelsea shirt.
Former Real Madrid forward and the latest summer recruit for the Premier League champions made a bow in a friendly match against Bayern Munich, which the Blues ended up losing 3-2.
The Spaniard made a low-key start to his Chelsea career and fans were unimpressed by his lack of match sharpness and rustiness upfront. Morata did make up for it with enthusiasm and effort, but it is very much clear the Spaniard will need to work hard to get himself ready for the new season.
