Real Madrid forward Alvaro Morata is nearing a return to Serie A just one year since his Juventus departure.
The Spanish striker has endured a frustrating season with Los Blancos, failing to establish himself as a first-team regular under Zinedine Zidane. The 24-year-old still managed to score 15 goals and notch 4 assists in La Liga but is widely expected to leave the Spanish champions in search for regular playing time.
Gazzetta dello Sport suggests that a return to Italy is on the cards for Morata, with former Juventus man having already given the nod to AC Milan over a summer move.
Instead of waiting for Chelsea and Manchester United to step up their interest, Alvaro Morata has reportedly decided to accept an early opportunity from Rossoneri and agree on a reported €7.5 million a year deal.
Real Madrid and AC Milan now need to work out a transfer fee for the player who cost €30 million just a year ago.
Los Blancos reportedly look set to double the money on a reserve striker who is expected to be a direct replacement for Carlos Bacca at Milan.
