Alvaro Odriozola in high demand

Spanish media outlet Marca claims that top European clubs are lining up for Real Sociedad full-back Alvaro Odriozola.

The 21-year-old enjoyed a breakthrough season last term, when he made 15 La Liga starts, and he continued the rich vein of form into the new season.

Odriozola was even called into Spain squad for October qualifiers and played full 90 minutes in the 3-0 hammering of Albania.

The talented youngster is believed to be on the radar of Real Madrid and Barcelona, and his boss Eusebio Sacristan is not really surprised.

“Odriozola is enjoying very fast progress,” Eusebio is quoted as saying by Marca.

“With that in mind, it is inevitable that there are teams who will look at him and be interested.

“This is a positive thing and not me nor anyone at the club is worried about it, if you are performing well then it is a compliment that others are impressed.

“The important thing for him is to remain focused and to consolidate his progress here at the club.”
