Inter Milan full-back Alvaro Pereira has added fuel to speculation linking him with a January move for Galatasaray.
The Turkish giants are reportedly hot on the trail of the Uruguayan as they hope to sign a left-sided defender at the earliest opportunity and they seem to be closing in on the highly rated footballer.
With Pereira desperate to leave Inter in search of first team football and tempted by the prospect of moving to Turkey, the deal should be wrapped up in the coming weeks.
“I think that Turkey is a beautiful country where I want to play,” the 28-year-old confessed to Radyospor.
“Would I consider an offer from a Turkish club? Inter have not offered me an opportunity to play, so the idea is to leave in January because I want to play more.”
Alvaro Pereira joined the Nerazzurri from FC Porto in the summer of 2012 and has since made a total of 33 Serie A appearances.
He has, however, failed to nail down a regular starting berth and is set to be offloaded in the January window.
Inter trail third-placed Napoli by five points at the moment, and are available at 11/4 to achieve a top 4 finish.
