Barcelona full-back Danny Alves has urged his national teammate Neymar to join up with him at the Nou Camp and insists that it will improve him as a player, Talk Sport reports.
The Brazilian sensation has been heavily linked with a move to Barca in the summer transfer window, and it seems that Alves believes he should leave his current club, Santos.
He said: I’ve already advised him to leave Brazil. He would improve a lot and he would become a lot more respected. I really wish I could get to see him play alongside Messi.”
English Premier League champions Manchester City have also emerged as big contenders to sign the tricky-forward, but Barca look to be his desired destination.
The thought of Neymar and Lionel Messi linking up together would certainly be something that many people would like to see.
However, Santos will not just let one of their prized assets leave the club – they will do all they can to keep him.
It seems as though Alves could have a big say in his next move, as the Brazilian international would be able to settle him into life at Barcelona.
With Neymar now being such a high profile though, this story is sure to have a number of twists and turns.
