Alves want to win trophies with Barca

Brazilian full-back Dani Alves has admitted that he would like to win trophies with Barcelona.

Alves, who joined Barcelona from Sevilla this summer, also revealed he is keen on being named the best player in the world.

“First of all, I want to win trophies with Barça, like I did with Sevilla,” he told Sport.

“Barça have started out on a new project to move forward and this is a big club that has to win things and I am here to help.

“On a personal level, I have the dream of being considered to be one of the best players in the world.

“Last year I was on the list and I dream of winning it one day, but I know it is very difficult for a full-back. But nothing is impossible.”
