Valencia full-back Aly Cissokho admits he is flattered by the reported interest from Liverpool.
Reds boss Brendan Rodgers is believed to be lining up a summer move for French left-back as he aims to increase competition for places in the back line.
Aly Cissokho says he is pleased to be linked with the Reds and admits he would seriously consider joining Liverpool should the opportunity arise.
“I’ve never hidden the fact that the English league is the one that attracts me the most. It’s pleasing to see my name linked to Liverpool,” Cissokho told French newspaper Le Parisien.
Cissokho joined Valencia in a €6 million move from Lyon last summer, but he hasn’t quite managed to establish himself as a first team regular at Mestalla.
While starting the season as a first option on the left back, the Frenchman eventually lost his place to winger Andres Guardado.
Cissokho, nonetheless, managed to score 2 goals in 15 La Liga appearances for los Che, while making another 6 appearances in club’s Champions League campaign.
