Parma striker Amauri has revealed that it was not easy for him to leave Juventus, but he still believes it was the right decision.
The Brazilian has kick-started his career at Ennio Tardini while helping Parma escape the danger zone.
“It wasn’t easy to leave a big club. It’s not easy for anyone. But I had the desire to throw myself into things again and get through the bad period I was experiencing with injuries and skepticism,” Amauri told La Gazzetta dello Sport.
“I only wanted to play with continuity. It’s a vicious circle: You’re injured. You don’t play. And if you don’t play, you can’t get back into form. I need continuity for my physique.
“From the first day I thought that my decision to join Parma was the right one for the atmosphere around the club: the players, the President and the director of sport who immediately put me at ease.
“They have given me great confidence. It was a while since I had felt this faith towards me.”
