(GSM) – Marco Amelia is set to join Milan from Genoa.

It’s reported that the goalkeeper will initially move to San Siro on loan, with Milan having the option to make it permanent next summer.

Amelia was reportedly unhappy at Genoa and his agent, Carlo Pallavicini, has already met the Rossoneri directors to talk about a move for his client.

If all goes well, the player will soon undergo his medical at Milanello.

Amelia, who was part of Italy’s World Cup-winning squad in 2006, will be the first choice for Milan next season with Marco Storari set to join Juventus and Dida also on the move.
