America and Liga de Quito draw in Libertadores Cup

The first match between America de Mexico and Liga de Quito in the semi finals of the Copa Libertadores ended in a 1-1 draw.

Liga de Quito of Ecuador took the lead through Bolanos after 63 minutes, but America then only needed ten minutes to level the score through Esqueda.

Two players were sent for an early shower after that equaliser as Dominguez of America and Liga’s goalscorer Bolanos were red-carded.

The second leg in Quito will be played on June 4th.

In the other semi final first leg, played late on Wednesday, reigning champions Boca Juniors host Fluminense of Rio de Janeiro at the Bombonera.
