With continued speculation over Marcus Rashford’s future at Old Trafford, Manchester United are expected to have a real exodus on their hands during the summer transfer window.

However, although it might remain unclear if Erik ten Hag will sacked at the the end of the season, The Telegraph are reporting that the Premier League heavyweights have made just three first-team stars untouchable.

Ahead of what looks set to be a crucial summer rebuild behind the scenes at Old Trafford, we have taken a look at the trio of first-team superstars that will not be allowed to leave the red half of Manchester under any circumstances.

Rasmus Hojlund

While Rasumus Hojlund might have initially struggled to find their feet after completing a blockbuster £72million move from Italian outfit Atalanta last summer, the 21-year-old has quickly cemented his spot as a fan favourite around Old Trafford.

Despite failing to open his Premier League account before getting on the scoresheet during a 3-2 victory against Aston Villa on Boxing Day, the Danish international has certainly used that maiden strike as a platform to build on.

Registering eight goals across all competitions since opening the New Year, many in the red half of Manchester are excited by Hojlund’s development and believe that have a legitimate number nine who can spearhead their charge for many years.

With the 12-cap international making it clear how happy he is with life at Old Trafford, it is no surprise that United feel that their £72million investment was money well spent.

Sat only behind Bruno Fernandes in the chase for United’s Golden Boot this season, Hojlund has certainly enjoyed an impressive first campaign with the Premier League heavyweights.

Kobbie Mainoo

Although many might have not even been aware of Kobbie Mainoo prior to the start of the 2023/24 campaign, United’s homegrown starlet has certainly burst onto the scene and finds his stock at a red-hot high.

Blossoming into one of the Premier League’s hottest young prospects, the 19-year-old sensation has become a key part of ten Hag’s first-team plans and has already made 20 top-flight appearances this season.

With many billing Mainoo as United’s brightest spark of the season, it is no secret that the Reds are desperate to tie the Stockport-born star down to a bumper new deal over the coming weeks.

Relishing life among England’s elite, it has been suggested that ten Hag’s side have offered a new six-year deal that would see the midfielder treble his current wage bill and earn in the region of £60,000-per-week.

Making his senior England debut during March’s international break and receiving a string of plaudits from Gareth Southgate, Mainoo is now dreaming of the chance to be part of the Three Lions’ squad for this summer’s European Championships.

Alejandro Garnacho

Although Alejandro Garnacho might have been at the heart of a public tiff with ten Hag last month, the Argentina international has continued to play a leading role for the under pressure Dutchman.

Featuring in all bar two of the Reds’ 34 Premier League appearances this season, the 19-year-old is regarded as one of the hottest prospects to come out of United’s academy in some time.

Recording seven top-flight strikes this year and restablishing himself on the international front with the reigning world champions, Garnacho has also received plenty of plaudits from the new hierarchy at Old Trafford.

With continued speculation that Brazilian flop Antony could be forced out of the Manchester exit for what could be a cut-price deal this summer, Garnacho is expected to be one of United’s key figures next season.

Although it might have been suggested last year that the five-cap international is attracting interest from clubs in both Spain and Italy, the Reds have made it abundantly clear that they have no intention on cashing in.
