(GSM) – Chelsea manager Carlo Ancelotti has backed Mario Balotelli to shine in England should he complete his switch to Manchester City.

The Internazionale forward is reportedly set to reunite with former boss Roberto Mancini at Eastlands with a £25million deal is nearing completion.

And Ancelotti believes the 19-year-old temperamental Italian can give City the quality boost they need to challenge for the title.

The Chelsea boss said: “With him, Manchester City will challenge for the title, not just fourth.

“The Premier League is ideal place for him. Mario is a crazy talent.”

Ancelotti added in La Stampa newspaper: “There is too much pressure on young players in Italy but there is almost no racism to contend with in England.”

Balotelli has scored 20 goals in 59 league appearances for the European champions.

Meanwhile, Balotelli’s agent, Mino Raiola, says the contract negotiations are in a ‘delicate phase’, but maintains that he is working ‘without hurry’.

Raiola said: “We are in a delicate phase of the negotiation. There is not an agreement. But I continue working without hurry.”
