(GSM) – Chelsea boss Carlo Ancelotti has insisted that star player Ashley Cole will be at Stamford Bridge next season after repeatedly being linked with Real Madrid.
England international has been heavily linked with a move to Santiago Bernabéu after former Blues boss Jose Mourinho’s appointment as coach.
While the Blues were in action for the first time this summer after 1-0 pre-season win over Crystal Palace, Cole still remains on holiday after playing in the World Cup finals.
Ancelotti insists he has not spoken with Cole as he does not need to, as the ex-Arsenal man remains under contract and the Italian is 100 per cent confident he will still be a Chelsea player next season.
“I didn’t speak with him, I don’t need to speak with him and he doesn’t need to speak to me,” said Ancelotti on speculation linking Cole with Real.
“He is a player of Chelsea, did a fantastic season for us and will be an important player for us next season. One hundred per cent.”
