(GSM) – Chelsea boss Carlo Ancelotti does not expect Joe Cole to leave Stamford Bridge when the current season ends. Cole’s current contract runs out at the end of the season and he is yet to sign an extension.
After discussions over a new contract reached a stalemate, talks have been delayed until the end of the season.
Reports have linked the player to Tottenham, Manchester City, Liverpool, West Ham and Manchester United, but Ancelotti is confident Cole will remain at Stamford Bridge.
“Joe Cole will stay here,” said Ancelotti. “In January I said that no one would come in, and nobody came in.
“So I think that Joe will stay.
“We have 10 days to wait because the club will speak with Joe Cole, and the other players that are going to be at the end of their contracts, after the FA Cup final.”
