Ancelotti confident of Cole stay

(GSM) – Chelsea boss Carlo Ancelotti is confident he can convince Ashley Cole to stay.

The England left-back has been linked with a move away from the Stamford Bridge for weeks now with Real Madrid as his most likely destination.

Cole returns to training this week after his extended break following the World Cup and Ancelotti is desperate to talk him into staying.

“If a player is not happy, then what you have to do is find a solution,” said Ancelotti.

“Maybe I can tell him a joke to make him happy! Which one? I know many!” On a more serious note he added: “It is not frustrating for me if other clubs may want him.

“Ashley is a Chelsea player and nobody wants to sell him. We want to keep him in our squad. I am 100 per cent sure he will be at Chelsea this ­season. I consider him to be the best player in his position in the world.

“I don’t need to talk to him. He is happy to stay at Chelsea. He never said he wanted to go. There is no chance he will go. No way.”
