Real Madrid coach Carlo Ancelotti has moved to confirm his interest in Bayer Leverkusen midfielder Christoph Kramer.
With Luka Modric sidelined through injury and Sami Khedira nearing Santiago Bernabeu exit, los Blancos are in the market for central midfielders.
And while Cruzeiro starlet Lucas Silva is reportedly set to arrive at Santiago Bernabeu, Real Madrid seem to be looking at other players as well.
Speaking after the Champions League victory over Ludogorets Razgrad, los Blancos coach Carlo Ancelotti confirmed he was interested in Germany midfielder Christoph Kramer.
“I cannot speak about players who are not in Madrid and save me from saying this, but he is a player I like. I like a lot of midfielders,” Ancelotti told Canal Plus.
Christoph Kramer has become one of Europe’s most sought-after footballers and he is almost certain to leave Bay Arena at the end of the season.
The 23-year-old is currently in the second season of his two-year spell with Borussia M’gladbach, where he scored 4 goals in 45 Bundesliga outings.
After making three appearances for Germany at the 2014 World Cup, Kramer started two Euro 2016 qualifiers.
