Paris Saint-Germain boss Carlo Ancelotti has moved to confirm reports linking the French club with a move for Real Madrid star Cristiano Ronaldo.
The club owner Nasser al-Khelaifi admitted last month the Saints could make a move on the Portuguese superstar as they aimed to continue reinforcing the squad.
Paris Saint-Germain boss Carlo Ancelotti admits that he would like to see Ronaldo at Parc des Princes, even if he is not sure the transfer is feasible.
“I do not know if it is a transfer that the club can do,” the Italian said to L’Equipe.
“Ronaldo is a symbol of Real Madrid. But could any coach say he does not want Cristiano Ronaldo?”
Ancelotti believes the Portuguese would have no problems playing alongside Zlatan Ibrahimovic.
“I think he can play with Ibra without problem. They have the qualities to play together.”
Cristiano Ronaldo is reportedly unhappy with his status at Santiago Bernabeu and could decide to leave the Spanish giants after four years at the club.
The 27-year-old, who was paid €94 million back in the summer of 2009, has scored a total of 118 goals in just 107 La Liga appearances for los Blancos.
