According to Tuttosport, Napoli manager Carlo Ancelotti’s lack of confidence in his attacking options could lead him to look elsewhere in the summer transfer window. One man, in particular, who has been linked with a move to the Serie A frontrunners is Mario Balotelli. The controversial forward could apparently be an alternative option to Karim Benzema, who Ancelotti isn’t overly interested in despite initial reports suggesting that the Frenchman could make the switch to Italy.
Balotelli, 27, has had an interesting career up to this point – and that’s putting it mildly. After putting himself on the map during his three years with Inter Milan he moved to Manchester City, where he continued to improve his reputation as both a fantastic forward and a frustrating one. This was followed up by spells with AC Milan and Liverpool, before eventually landing at Nice where he has been able to completely revitalise his career.
